BOB R. SIMPSON - is the Chairman of the Board and Founder of XTO Energy Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Simpson has been a director of the Company since 1990, and is one of the co-founders of XTO. He serves as Chair of the Executive Committee. He has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer or held similar positions with the Company and its predecessors since 1986. Mr. Simpson was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Southland Royalty Company (1979-1986) and Tax Manager at Southland Royalty Company (1976-1979).

The native Texan grew up in Cisco. He attended Baylor University where he earned a BBA degree in Accounting with honors and then an MBA.
