Barnett Shale - XTO entered the Barnett Shale play in early 2004 with a small acquisition and has rapidly become a dominate player. This region accounts for more than 20% of our total production. During 2008 the Company added a new core operating base in the prolific Marcellus Shale region, with a resource potential of 2-4 TCFE.
